Challenge

Our team faced the task of creating a platform to streamline the uploading, storage, and management of centralized sales data. Our solution aimed to facilitate on-the-go productivity and empower professionals with easy access to analytical insights.

A mobile-centric sales analytics platform integrating centralized data management, online data sharing, real-time updates, robust analytics, visualization features, and various tools to enhance distributor efficiency.

Project Scope

The product development journey involved several key stages:

  1. Gathering requirements and thoroughly understanding the problem to devise effective solutions and approaches.
  2. Identifying backend technologies. Initially, the project utilized Python 2.7, Django 1.6, and MySQL database. However, as newer technologies emerged, we transitioned to Python 3.8, Django 3.0, PostgreSQL database, Celery for scheduled jobs and task concurrency, and Websockets for real-time progress updates.
  3. Selecting frontend technologies, with the ReactJS library being employed for the user interface.
  4. Establishing integrations with various data providers, such as SAP, SFTP servers, and Rest APIs.
  5. Implementing DevOps practices, including setting up a Kubernetes cluster, Gitlab CI/CD pipeline, and Grafana monitoring visualization.
  6. Conducting rigorous QA testing both during development and after migrating to the new technology stack to ensure seamless functionality.
  7. Providing ongoing support services to the client, continuously enhancing the platform with new features and advanced solutions.
