Challenge:

Our customer’s business comprises five companies, with one having previously implemented the SAP S/4 HANA system. However, the implementation project faced challenges and failed to fully unlock the ERP’s potential. Additionally, another company within the holding sought to enhance inter-company cooperation by implementing SAP S/4 HANA ERP from scratch.

Solution:

Zircoo stepped in to address the challenges by aiding in the improvement and maintenance of the existing SAP S/4 HANA system at one company. Additionally, we facilitated the Greenfield implementation of SAP S/4 HANA ERP at another company within the customer’s business portfolio.

Project Scope:

Zircoo was actively involved in the Greenfield implementation of the SAP S/4 HANA ERP and provided Application Management Support for SAP S/4 HANA. Our key project tasks included:

1. Implementing SAP S/4 HANA:
– Rollout implementation of FI (Financial Accounting), CO (Controlling), MM (Materials Management), SD (Sales and Distribution), PS (Project Systems), and PPDS (Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling) modules.

2. Updating SAP S/4 HANA System:
– Upgrading the SAP S/4 HANA system to the newer version SAP S/4 HANA 2020 to leverage the latest features and enhancements.

3. Post-Go-Live Application Management Support:
– Providing ongoing support and maintenance services for SAP S/4 HANA post-go-live, ensuring smooth operation and addressing any issues or concerns that arise.

4. SAP Basis Support and Maintenance:
– Offering services for SAP Basis support and maintenance, including system administration, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.

5. SAP System Customization and Additional Development:
– Customizing the SAP system and developing additional functionalities as per the specific requirements of the business.

6. Business User Support:
– Communicating with business users and providing support for their daily tasks as requested, ensuring efficient utilization of the SAP system.

Looking ahead to 2023, plans are already in place for the implementation of SAP Extended Warehouse Management and the system upgrade to SAP S/4 HANA 2022, ensuring continued alignment with the customer’s evolving business needs and technological advancements.
